Various factors contribute to the exclusion of refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and migrant returnees from basic public services. Access to education is one such area.

Acknowledging the Albert Einstein Scholarship Program financed by the German government and jointly implemented in Ethiopia by the UNHCR Ethiopia and the Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS), and which has so far helped over 2,000 refugees get university education, Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) Deputy Chief Commissioner Rakeb Messele encouraged all the Commission’s partners and relevant stakeholders to contribute to expanding access to services for all refugees, IDPs and migrant returnees.
