በአስቸኳይ ጊዜ አዋጁ ምክንያት ታስረው እስካሁን ያልተለቀቁት በአስቸኳይ እንዲለቀቁ የኢትዮጵያ ሰብዓዊ መብቶች ኮሚሽን አሳሰበ

The program is titled human rights defenders for Peace: The Right to Peace as a Human Rights.

ጥር 14 ፣ 2014 ዓ.ም.፣ ጅግጅጋ፤ የኢትዮጵያ ሰብአዊ መብቶች ኮሚሽን ጅግጅጋ ቅርንጫፍ ጽ/ቤት የተጣለበትን ኃላፊነት ለመወጣት ከባለድርሻ አካላት ጋር በትብብር እየሰራ መሆኑን በሕዝብ ተወካዮች ምክር የሕግ ፣ ፍትህና ዴሞክራሲ ጉዳዮች ቋሚ ኮሚቴ አድንቋል።

ከአስቸኳይ ጊዜ አዋጁ ጋር ተያይዞ በቁጥጥር ስር ያሉ ሰዎች በአፋጣኝ እንዲለቀቁ የኢትዮጵያ ሰብአዊ መብቶች ኮሚሽን (ኢሰመኮ) ጥሪ አቀረበ።

በኢትዮጵያ በወቅታዊ ጉዳይ ላይ ከኢቲቪ ጋር የተደረገ ውይይት

የህወሓት ታጣቂዎች በተለያዩ የአማራና የአፋር ክልሎች አካባቢዎች ውስጥ “ከባድ ሊባሉ የሚችሉ የሰብአዊ መብቶች ጥሰቶችን ስለመፈፀማቸው አቤቱታዎች እንደደረሱት” የኢትዮጵያ ሰብዓዊ መብቶች ኮሚሽን አስታውቋል።

የተባበሩት መንግሥታት ባጸደቀው "የፓሪስ መርኆዎች" በተሰኘው መለኪያ መሰረት የኢትዮጵያ የሰብአዊ መብቶች ኮሚሽን (ኢሰመኮ) በተአማኒነቱ ወደ ከፍተኛው ደረጃው 'ኤ' እንዲገባ ዓለም አቀፉ የብሔራዊ የሰብአዊ መብቶች ጥምረት መወሰኑ ይፋ ተደረገ።

Fear of imprisonment and retaliation silences Ethiopia’s human rights defenders and critics of the government. The Institute’s partner organisation, the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) keeps calling on the parties to the conflict.

By August 2021, more than 1.7 million people were internally displaced in Tigray, while Afar and Amhara regional states have also been affected, with fighting continuing to expand in these regions.
