On all parties to the conflict, national actors, civil society organizations, the media, religious leaders, and other actors, to renew efforts for a peaceful resolution to the conflict including by contributing to constructive discussions and dialogue, by refraining from engaging in any act of incitement or hate speech, and instead contributing towards mutual understanding, tolerance, and peace
Delivered by the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission’s Deputy Chief Commissioner, Rakeb Messele, the statement also lists some of the notable activities carried out by the Commission and important milestones reached in the past six months.
On the occasion of the International Workers’ Day, the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) also calls for the establishment of the Wage Board as provided by the 2019 Labour Proclamation
