The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) conducted a two day training for civil society organizations (CSOs) from 27 – 28 October 2021 on promoting and monitoring the implementation of recommendations from UN human rights mechanisms, namely, the Universal Periodic Review, Special Procedures and core treaty bodies.
The training familiarized CSOs with the various UN human rights mechanisms and identified practical strategies to engage State authorities with a view to ensuring the effective promotion and implementation of recommendations.
EHRC thanks the participants of the training for their active engagement and invites all other CSOs to work with it in advocating for the better implementation of recommendations.
