States Parties recognize the right of persons with disabilities to education
The trainings have strengthened the observance of human rights within the community and among executive bodies, and have created opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills necessary to implement human rights principles
The trainings were provided to youth, police and prison personnel, the elderly, service providers for internally displaced persons, associations of persons with disabilities and artists, as well as to staff and officials of civil society organizations
By nurturing a generation capable of understanding and contributing to current national human rights agendas, it is possible to realize an ‘Ethiopia where human rights are a culture’
Among the 15 top-performing schools, eight teams with the highest scores in written memorials will advance to the national-level competition, to be held in Addis Ababa from April 19 - 24, 2026
A stronger partnership is essential to successfully integrate human rights education into Ethiopia’s formal education system
