Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is pleased to welcome back Robert Piper, UN Special Adviser on Solutions to Internal Displacement. EHRC and Mr. Piper held a productive discussion on the status of the draft internally displaced persons (IDPs) Proclamation and its significance in ensuring better protection, the capacity of federal and local actors, as well as the role of development actors in finding durable solutions.
The meeting concluded by highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities in strengthening government leadership for implementing durable solutions for IDPs in Ethiopia.
