በሚድያ አዋጁ አንቀጽ 86(1) የተመለከተው የቅድመ እስር ክልከላ ከአዋጁ አንቀጽ 3(1) እና 6(3) ጋርም ተቀናጅቶ ሲነበብ ለተመዘገበ ሚዲያ ብቻ ሳይሆን ለሁሉም ዓይነት ሚዲያዎች የተቀመጠ የሕግ ጥበቃ መሆኑን የሚያመለክት ነው

እነዚህ ታሳሪዎች እድሜያቸው ከ18 ዓመት በታች ናቸው የተባሉ ሲሆን አራቱ ደግሞ ሴቶች ናቸው፡፡ እነዚህ ሕጻናት መደበኛ ላልሆነ የፍልሰት አዙሪት የተጋለጡ ሲሆን ይህም የሰብአዊ መብቶቻቸው አደጋ ላይ እንዲወድቅ፣ በሕገወጥ ደላሎች እና በሙስና ለተዘፈቁ ባለሥልጣናት ተጋላጭ ሆነዋል

የአካል ጉዳተኞች የሥራ ሥምሪት መብትን የሚመለከት አዋጅ የወጣ እና ሥራ ላይ የዋለ ቢሆንም፤ በተለያዩ የመንግሥት እና የግል ተቋማት ያለው ያልተጣጣመ አሠራር አካል ጉዳተኞች በሥራ ቅጥር፣ ዕድገት፣ ድልድል፣ ዝውውር፣ ሥልጠናና ሌሎች የሥራ ሁኔታዎች ወቅት መድልዎ እንዲደርስባቸው መንስኤ ነው

በወንጀል ክስ ምክንያት የታሰረ ወይም በቁጥጥር ስር የሚገኝ ማንኛውም ሰው በዳኛ ወይም በሕግ የዳኝነት ሥልጣን በተሰጠው አካል ፊት በአፋጣኝ የመቅረብ፤ እንዲሁም ተገቢ በሆነ ጊዜ ውስጥ ዳኝነት የማግኘት ወይም የመለቀቅ መብት አለው

The meeting brought together National Human Rights Institutions (NHRI), national preventive mechanisms, civil society organisations, inter-governmental organisations, regional human rights networks, and experts on torture prevention from various African countries

EHRC reiterates that Ethiopia’s media law clearly prohibits pre-trial detention for any alleged offence committed through media

Prolonged pre-trial detention, non-disclosure of whereabouts, and detention in irregular detention facilities aggravates the situation
