The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has urged the government to address the urgent needs of people with disabilities who have lost their business establishments due to there recent wave of demolitions in the city. This appeal follows the 2023 dismantling of small trading businesses by the city administration, which has left many disabled business owners without their means of livelihood

ለአካል ጉዳተኞች የሚሰጡ ምትክ ቦታዎች ከባቢያዊ ተደራሽነትን በበቂ ሁኔታ ያሟሉ መሆን አለባቸው

The panel, including EHRC's Commissioner for Women, Children, Older Persons, and Disability Rights Rigbe Gebrehawaria Hagos, emphasised the importance of international solidarity and collective action in ensuring equal opportunities for all. Let's work together to advance the cause of women's rights

በኢትዮጵያ አካል ጉዳተኞች የትምህርት እድል፣ የጤና እንክብካቤ፣ የሥራ ዕድል፣ ማኅበራዊ ጥበቃ አለማግኘትን እንዲሁም በማኅበረሰቡ ዘንድ ከተንሰራፋው የተዘባ አመለካከት በሚመነጩ እንቅፋቶች ምክንያት የሚደርስ መድልዎን ጨምሮ በርካታ ተግዳሮቶች ይገጥሟቸዋል

Persons with disabilities (PwDs) in Ethiopia, face numerous challenges including lack of access to education, health care, employment, social protection, and discrimination due to attitudinal barriers prevalent in the community
