The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) issued an alarming new report detailing a steep rise in human rights violations linked to the ongoing conflict plaguing Ethiopia’s Amhara region

Attacks on civilians, extra-judicial killings and arbitrary detentions should stop immediately

ኮሚሽኑ ይህን መግለጫ ይፋ እስከአደረገበት ጊዜ ድረስ ባደረገው ክትትል መሠረት፤ በሲቪል ሰዎች ላይ የሚደርሱ ጉዳቶች፣ ከሕግ/ፍርድ ውጭ የተፈጸሙ ግድያዎች እና የዘፈቀደ እስር እጅግ አሳሳቢ ሆነው ከተለዩ ጉዳዮች መካከል ናቸው

የኢትዮጵያ ሰብአዊ መብቶች ኮሚሽን (ኢሰመኮ) በአማራ ክልል እየተካሄደ ባለው ግጭት “በመንግሥት የጸጥታ አካላት ከሕግ ወይም ፍርድ ውጭ በመፈጸም ላይ ያለ ግድያ እጅግ አሳሳቢ ነው” ሲል ትናንት ዓርብ ባወጣው መግለጫ አስታውቋል

"በሲቨል ሰዎች ላይ ግድያ በፈጸሙና በዘፈቀደ እስራት ላይ በተሳተፉ አካላት ላይ አስፈላጊው ምርመራ ተደርጎ ተጠያቂነት እንዲረጋገጥ" - የኢትዮጵያ ሰብአዊ መብቶች ኮሚሽን

ኢትዮጵያ ሰብአዊ መብቶች ኮሚሽን (ኢሰመኮ) በአማራ ክልል በቀጠለው ግጭት በሲቪል ሰዎች ላይ የሚደርሱ ጉዳቶች፣ከሕግ ወይም ከፍርድ ውጭ የተፈጸሙ ግድያዎችና የዘፈቀደ እስሮች “እጅግ አሳሳቢ” ኾነዋል ሲል ትናንት ማምሻውን ባወጣው መግለጫ አስታውቋል

በአማራ ክልል በአንዳንድ አካባቢዎች “የጦር መሳሪያ ደብቃችኋል አምጡ” በሚል በመንግሥት የጸጥታ አካላት ከፍርድ ውጭ ግድያዎች መፈጸማቸውን የኢትዮጵያ ሰብአዊ መብቶች ኮሚሽን (ኢሰመኮ) ገለጸ

The report details abuses including “extrajudicial killings by government security forces”, which it said were “extremely concerning”
