በኢትዮጵያ ሰብአዊ መብቶች ኮሚሽን መረጃ መሠረት እስከ ግንቦት 21 ቀን 2014 ድረስ 19 ጋዜጠኞች እና የመገናኛ ብዙኃን ባለሙያዎች በቁጥጥር ሥር ውለዋል

ለሰብአዊ መብቶች ጥሰት ተጠያቂነትን በማረጋገጥ፣ የሕግ በላይነትን በማስፈን፣ መንግሥትና የስራ አስፈጻሚ አካላቱ በመሉ ለሰብአዊ መብቶች መከበር፣ መጠበቅና መሟላት ያላቸውን ቁርጠኝነት እንዲያድሱና እንዲተገብሩ ልዩ ትኩረትና ክትትል ይሻል

በከረዩ የሚችሌ ገዳ የጅላ አባላት ግድያ ጉዳይ ላይ የተጀመረው የሽምግልና እና የእርቅ ሂደት፤ “የወንጀል ተጠያቂነትን መተካት ወይም ማስተጓጎል የለበትም” ሲል የኢትዮጵያ ሰብአዊ መብቶች ኮሚሽን (ኢሰመኮ) አሳሰበ።
