Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of his choice. (Article 19, ICCPR)
The freedom of the press, other mass media and artistic creativity is essential to the realization of the right to freedom of expression.
Freedom of the press & other mass media and freedom of artistic creativity is guaranteed under the FDRE Constitution. Freedom of the press shall specifically include access to information of public interest and prohibition of any form of censorship. (The FDRE Constitution Article 29)
