Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 27 (3)
States Parties, in accordance with national conditions and within their means, shall take appropriate measures to assist parents and others responsible for the child to implement the right of the child to a standard of living adequate for his development and shall in case of need provide material assistance and support programmes, particularly with regard to nutrition, clothing and housing.
African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, Article 11 (3) (d)
States Parties shall take all appropriate measures with a view to achieving the full realization of every child’s right to education and shall in particular take measures to encourage regular attendance at schools and the reduction of drop-out rate.
