ይህ ቻርተር ከአሕጉራችን የሰብአዊ መብት ሰነዶች ቀዳሚው ነው፡፡ ይህን ቻርተር ፈርመው የተቀበሉ የአፍሪካ አንድነት ድርጅት አባል ሀገራት በዚህ ቻርተር የተደነገጉትን መብቶች፣ ግዴታዎችና ነጻነቶች አውቀው በመቀበል ለተግባራዊነታቸው ሕግ ለማውጣትና ሌሎች እርምጃዎችን ለመውሰድ ግዴታ ገብተዋል፡፡

የአፍሪካ ሕፃናት መብቶችና ደኅንነት ቻርተር፡፡ የቻርተሩ ተዋዋይ ሀገራት የሆኑ የአፍሪካ አንድነት ድርጅት አባል ሀገራት በቻርተሩ ለተደነገጉ መብቶች፣ ነጻነቶችና ግዴታዎች ዕውቅና የመስጠት የቻርተሩ ድንጋጌዎችን ተፈጻሚ ለማድረግ በቻርተሩና በየሕገ-መንግሥቶቻቸው በተመለከቱ ድንጋጌዎች መሰረት እንደ አስፈላጊነቱ የሕግ ማውጣትን እና ሌሎች እርምጃዎች የመውሰድ ግዴታ አለባቸው፡፡

Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is an independent federal state body established as per the Federal Constitution and reporting to House of People’s Representatives as a national human rights institution with the mandate for promotion and protection of human rights. (Article 55/14 of FDRE Constitution cum Proclamation No. 210/2000, as amended by Proclamation No.1224/2020).
